Kickin it off with a BANG!

Riding a bike through San Diego county sure can get interesting. My training partner and I rolled out from Kit Carson Park and headed out through rincon up south grade toward Lake Henshaw. On the way out to the lake we encountered deer, police speed traps and one serious looking tent city full of chemically overwhelmed ravers. They were dancing under the wide array of psychedelic accessories hanging from the trees and bushes to the deafening thump of bass and symbol as the sun was starting pour over the mountains.(No wonder the deer were running the other direction or for that matter any other wildlife in the forest) After getting to Lake Henshaw we hung a right up mesa grande where I had a close encounter with a suicidal squirrel who wanted to play chicken with me and he lost.(by default of course... I was descending at over 30mph and he ran right for my tire there was nothing I could do except hope that he wasn't going to get tangled in my spokes) On with the pit stop in Santa Ysable at Dudleys Bakery (Best bread you will ever eat!) to refuel and then down old ramona hwy past the camel dairy and then past the ostrich farm back to Kit Carson. One of the best rides Ive ever had in my life up to this point! Training has never been so fun.
